Talamau Spectacular 01 

7 Days / 6 Nights

Day 1   :   Upon arrival by morning flight at Minangkabau International Airport of West Sumatra, you will be picked up by a Sumatra Equator representative and drive to Padang Tujuh village, on the way you will see the Palm Oil plantations, Beetle nut plantations, an export commodity of West Sumatra and the main ingredient of eastern candies, the “Kinali Equatorial” monument, lunch is served enroute. Arrive in the afternoon in Padang Tujuh village check in to home stay, you are free to relax and enjoy.

Day 2   :   After breakfast, drive to the slope of Talamau Mountain and start climbing for some hours to Bumi Sarasah, “the campsite”. On the way  you will pass through the location of the giant flower,” Raflesia Amorphopallus”, the view of the Indian Ocean and tropical jungle. During your expedition you may hear the sound of gibbons and birds and occasionally they are quite close to you. In the afternoon arrive at Bumi Sarasah and set up your tent, relax and sleep at night here.

Day 3   :   Your morning wake up call is the sounds of gibbons and birds. After breakfast we continue climbing to “Padang Siranjano”, this is a location named where we will find several lakes and natural flowering park. One of the lake is a favorite of the wild animals as a drinking spot. On your journey up to the rocky trail, you will pass through wild jungle, dense with fern trees, and pitcher plant flowers. Occasionally our tours are lead by a mysterious “guide bird” that disappears when we reach the top of the mountain. Arrive at Padang Siranjano we set up our tent. Then ½ hour climb to the highest and stay at the summit for an hour to look around, descent down to your campsite for overnight.

Day 4   :   After breakfast, we pack all of our stuff and tent, descent down to the shelter “Bukit Harimau Campo” for some hours to end your mountain trip. Arrive at Bukit Harimau Campo relax or visit the waterfall, in the afternoon walk back to shelter and sleep at night here.

Day 5   :  Breakfast, then continue down to the slope of the mountain for an hour, arrive at Pinaga village proceed to Lubuak Landua village where we stop to visit the” Forbidden fish”. The sacred fish are maintained in the Lubuak Landua river from generation to generation and are not allowed to be caught or eaten. Legend says, anyone taking or eating these special fish will become ill and even die, lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon we visit another village to see the farmer process the “patchouli oil” by traditional way; this is the liquid to make perfumes, as an export commodity of West Sumatra province. After visiting the villages we check in again to the home stay, you are free to relax and enjoy.

Day 6   :   After breakfast, we transfer you back to Padang via Maninjau lake, this is a crater lake which is very popular in Sumatra, on the way we drive through 44 hairpin bends, terraces rice field, Anai valley nature reserve as well as Anai waterfall, lunch enroute, in the afternoon arrive in Padang and check in to Bumiminang Hotel, dinner and free program.

 Day 7  :   After breakfast, then our representative will transfer you back to Minangkabau International Airport for your onward journey. Tour end.
