 Kerinci Expedition 8 Days / 7 Nights Day 1 : Upon arrival at Minangkabau International Airport of West Sumatra, you will be picked up by Sumatra Equator representative and drive to Padang town, arrive in Padang enjoy city tours, visit the old side of Padang, Chinese temple, the old Muara harbor and Padang beach. In the afternoon check in to Bumiminang hotel. Dinner and free program. Day 2 : After breakfast, drive to Padang Aro district via Bung Hatta National Park, upper and lower lake, along the route we pass tea plantation and cinnamon, lunch enroute. On the way we may stop to see traditional houses of Minangkabau and local villager activities. In the afternoon arrive in Padang Aro check in to Pesona Alam Sangir hotel. Dinner and free program. Day 3 : After breakfast, receive the trek pack and drive to Mitra Kerinci tea estate and factory, from here we get on the small truck and start the Kerinci exploration to the entrance of the jungle, spend about two hours on the bumpy trail, get off from the truck and hike for about an hour to reach the river, enjoy coffee break on the edge of the river, continue climbing through the wild jungle, listening to the screaming of Gibbons and observe some rare floras. After four hours walk we stop at the 2nd shelter and build the camp for over night.. Day 4 : Breakfast, enjoy challenging journey with up and down tracks, along the trail we will hear more sounds of gibbons and sparkling of waterfall, after walking for 2 hours we arrive at the third shelter and stop for coffee break near the river bank. Continue climbing to the 4th shelter for 4 hours, break by the river bank, after coffee break proceed to the 5th shelter for an hour and build the tent for over night. Day 5 : Breakfast, walking through the ferns forest about 500 meters, on the way to the summit we find edelweiss flower garden, reaching the summit through the rocks for a half day climb, after enjoying the time on the summit, going down to the 4th shelter for another half day and camp, sleep over night. Day 6 : Breakfast, make preparation for coming back to the starting point for about 6 hours walk, return to hotel and enjoy your rest hours, dinner. Day 7 : After breakfast, driving back to Padang, on the way we may enjoy swimming on the hot spring (water boom under construction) to release your tiring and recover your muscle. Day 8 : After breakfast, then our representative will transfer you back to Minangkabau International airport for your onward journey. Tour end.
